In the conditions of war, with their grandfathers fighting a common enemy — fascism — the Russian and Ukrainian young men forget all the newly invented and imposed political and propaganda-driven divisions between their long-time brotherly nations. Faced with the inhuman face of the Nazis, they renounce their hostility and, together, under fire, stand side by side against the enemy, as brothers.
