I know, I know, this video was a long time coming 😅 But hey, better late than never! & It issss Throwback Thursday, right?! 😉 This was back in September, and I’m 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗹𝗹𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 🤩🧨😻 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 go in!

This choreo is not easy - I 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 to tackle a lot of musicality and speed changes, get in the pocket and flow of some grooves, while also hit those lines with sharpness and precision. 🖌️Of course, can’t forget the floorwork 😜 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲. 💁🏼‍♀️ My students were up for the challenge, and 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗲𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘂𝗽 𝗛𝗨𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗬 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗪𝗧𝗛! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼That’s how I know it’s gonna be a great class 😉

But showing up is mental, too. Being a great dancer takes a lot of vulnerability. 💘That’s because 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗕𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥, and to recognize that, 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙚 areas for potential improvement. That’s where 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 comes in! Something I truly admire in the best dancers, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹, is that they are willing to 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗟𝗬 “𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿,” and let that 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 upwards and beyond. 🦋🦋🦋 I saw a lot of that in this class, which made it that much sweeter. We came in 𝙃𝙊𝙏 and ready to dance! 🚀 🚀 🚀 Thank you to my students for sharing your energy and love with me, as always. 🙏🏼❤️
